About Us
The Kranjay Family Foundation
Our Story
The late Bishop Joseph Karnjay and Yatta Karnjay built their family on faith, prayer, and service. They taught their children to stay humble, work hard, and care for others. Though they have passed on, their prayers and teachings still guide the family today.
Helene Karnjay carried that legacy with courage. She came to the U.S. in the 1980s and worked tirelessly to support her family while also helping loved ones in Liberia. Despite hardship, she never stopped giving. In 2000, her sacrifice helped bring over 15 family members to the U.S., including Henry and Kelvin Harmon. Her faith created opportunity for the next generation.
That foundation shaped Henry Harmon, who arrived at 24 with three children and worked 80+ hour weeks to build stability while still supporting family back home. His quiet sacrifice became a daily lesson in perseverance.
Kelvin grew up carried by faith, family, and a community that poured into him. From humble beginnings in Liberia to graduating from NC State and playing six seasons in the NFL, his path was built on prayer, guidance, and relentless effort.

What We Stand For
We believe service should be rooted in humility, transparency, and respect. Every community we serve is approached as a partner, not a project. By listening first and working alongside local leaders, we create programs that are relevant, effective, and sustainable.
Faith is at the heart of our work, guiding our values and shaping our commitment to integrity and stewardship.
Why Our Work Matters
Families are the foundation of every strong society. When families are supported, communities grow stronger and future generations gain opportunity. Our work is dedicated to ensuring families have the resources, encouragement, and support they need to thrive.
